A very rare and exceptionally well preserved issue from Palmyra

PALMYRENE. Palmyra. Pseudo-autonomous issue, circa 2nd-early 3rd centuries AD. AE (Bronze, 16 mm, 4.41 g, 12 h). Head and neck of a humped bull to right; below, crescent. Rev. Kerykeion between two crossed cornucopiae; all within laurel wreath. BMC -. De Saulcy p. 65, 3 and pl. XXIV, 7. Krzyźanowska, Monnayage de Palmyre, -. SNG München -. Very rare and in exceptional condition for the issue, certainly one of the finest known examples. Slightly rough and the obverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, about extremely fine.
